Looking at an 08 Viking sport. Man 1360hp engines. Any feedback on this model, engines and ride are appreciated. Biggest concern at this point is visibility when running but will confirm that during seatrial. Boat has a tower but will mostly be run from the salon helm. Sea trial, hull and engine survey in a few weeks, so any tips on what to pay close attention to is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hey, my father had an '02 52' convertible. They are very nice boats, a little wet, so would see what the wiper situation is or is it just curtains. Those wipers fail a lot. I ran a custom express for 7 years and had to stand on the ride out and in when going fishing. The viking should be better as the helm is further forward. I do think any express cruising more than 30 knots has to have a keen lookout as there is no way it has the visibility of a flybridge. If those are the common rail engines, should be good to go as long as maintenance has been kept up. Good luck!
Thanks, I'm concerned about it being wet too but will have to wait for the seatrial to see how big of an issue it is. Common rail engines that appear to have been maintained well. Appreciate the feedback.
