Victron inverter monitoring

For blue-tooth connect, I recall the BMV-712 battery module is needed.
I would hope the inverter would come with some op panel it-self.

I was just a Master-Volt jobber then moved to Magnum (Dimensions) power. They had original wimpy op panels and better panels were an option.
You may be in this same boat.

I suppose you're referring to the remote panel that they call DMC (Digital Multi Control), which actually has more than a couple of LEDs, showing the charging mode and the error status (if any), plus a small 3-ways switch allowing to turn it on, off, and on as a charger only.
If that's what you've got, beware: I know it's a bit counterintuitive, but the knob is NOT meant to adjust the charging rate. What it does is limit the max amps the unit can draw from its AC input.
This can be useful when you are connected to a low power shore connection, to avoid tripping the pedestal breaker.
If/when your onboard AC equipment would demand more amps, the Multiplus will automatically top up whatever the shore power can supply by working as an inverter and drawing current from the batteries - which are otherwise kept charged, as soon as the overall AC drawing is lower than what the shore connection can supply.

Back to your question, I also have a Multiplus 24/3000 on my boat.
Initially, I installed it without any remote control panel, because it's in an easily reachable location, and I could see DC voltage and amp absorption on the OEM boat displays on the electrical panel, anyhow.
But recently, I bought a Cerbo GX, mostly for remote access/check when I'm not onboard.
And i can tell you, it's the best thing since sliced bread: it connects to the onboard wifi (which I already had for onboard cameras), and gives access to each and every functioning parameter, allowing also to change settings, if you wish. Personally, I prefer to not fiddle with electrical parameters while I'm not there to see what happens, but theoretically there's no limit to configuration changes, also remotely.
On top of all that, the Cerbo GX can work also as a sort of gateway for other units/sensors, like temperature, alarms, tanks level.
I've only used it for the Multiplus monitoring (so far), so I can't vouch for these extended functionalities, but there's plenty of positive feedbacks on the web also for those.

Just as examples, I'm attaching the VRM (Victron Remote Monitoring) screen I'm now accessing from home, which is similar to the one already posted by GY - BTW, he says he also has a BMV-712, but that's not required, and the Cerbo GX access makes it redundant, sort of.


The other shot below is what Victron call "Remote Console", also accessible via VRM, but mostly designed for onboard control, either with a smartphone/tablet, or one of the dedicated Victron touch screens, available in 5" and 7" size.
