    usa flag yacht owner ali korman erbacıoglu (internet zero info have)
    story ;
    According to the written statement from the Ministry; On July 26, a notification was received that there were drugs on the 92-meter-long commercial ship 'Ocean Blue' with Vanuatu flag, which was in transit to Güllük Port in Bodrum district of Muğla. Thereupon, a drug operation was organized by the General Directorate of Security and the Coast Guard Command. Within the scope of the operation, the commercial ship was followed by the teams of the General Directorate of Security and the Coast Guard Command. During the follow-up, it was determined that the US-flagged motor yacht 'Belgor' docked and left the commercial ship in the Gulf of Güllük. Thereupon, the merchant ship was stopped. However, despite all the audible and visual warnings, the US flagged motor yacht did not stop and continued to flee. The motor yacht was followed by 4 coast guard boats, 1 coast guard diving team, 1 coast guard plane and 1 helicopter belonging to the General Directorate of Security. After a long pursuit, the yacht was stopped by force with interception maneuvers. The four people on the motor yacht were caught and detained.

    There are lots of US flagged boats in Turkey. I suspect there must be some Turkish tax benefit to it?

    is it because it’s outside of the EU and resets the immigration and vat clocks? Large boating industry and builders making maintenance easier with cheaper labor.

    Sure, there´s a variety of reasons. Tax is probably only one of them, however, for many it is.
    No offense intended!
