Ultra Leather Cleaner or Upholstery in FL?

    Hello,

    I'm brand new to boating and would like to get some advise on what to do with a interior salon upholstery. The boat is in good condition but the salon upholstery needs some good cleaning or reupholstering.

    The boat is a Prestige 500 and the interior salon upholstery is I'm being told a Ultra Leather (which I think that means man made material). It's white. it's got that pebbled leather look.

    Not sure what I can use to try to clean it (product and method) and/or a marine upholstery detail/cleaner service or if there's no way to make it look new again then perhaps reupholster. it's the sectional and the opposite seating/sofa (seats, arms, back, sides.

    I live in Fort Lauderdale so any advise or suggestions is highly appreciated.

    What would you figure the dirt is from? Grease, sweat, shoe or heel marks?
    Or is it just worn?
    If it's dirty. I'd start with peanut butter and wash that off with weak soap/water.

    I own a yacht management business and clean seating like this. I use lexol leather cleaner, I put it in one of those palm sized OXO dish cleaners......the one with the bristles that holds the soap in it and you press a button to dispense it...….I thin the lexol about 50/50 with water...….or even less. Clean it with that.....brushing it lightly in a circular motion, wipe off with a terry cloth or microfiber...… and then using lexol leather conditioner for light leather......both found at an auto parts store...….

    Other methods.....could be trying Novus #1 plastic cleaner spray...…….. or meguirs makes some good marine vinyl cleaners......

    Skippy J has the pro materials in list.
    Nothing against these products or his suggestions.
    But these are not normally on hand every well found boat has peanut butter in the back pantry.
    I'd like a comparison if you get the chance to give both suggestions a scrub and try.
    My wife owns a yacht management business also.

    I'm going to actually try the peanut butter as I've never heard of using it.

    Remember it removes glue and gum from your child's hair (or your hair when we were young & silly).
    Sometimes simple products work well with out big names.
    I do look forward to your results.

    On a dirty, not worn, surface.

    I will try all suggested.
    Also found this on youtube yesterday which I like the application and theory. Not sure what cleaning detergent/product they are using but looks like the application is good (get lather and then wipe off before it dries. Also steam looks cool to get the fabric to open up so dirt can rise and then wiped off. what do you guys think?
