"Destination Fox Harb'r Too" open house The 2008 Trinity Yachts build "Destination Fox Harb'r Too" is having an open house October 14, 2009. This will take place between the hours 16:00 to 19:30 at the Derektor yard in FL. The new vessel is also for sale asking 29.5-Million USD.
On the eve of the 50th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), there is news that the 54-meter "Katharine" has had a price reduction in her asking price. She was asking 29.9-Million USD now is asking 28.9-Million USD.
The 2002 Trinity "Carpe Diem" has been given a price reduction in her brokerage price. She was asking 23.9-Million USD but is now asking 21.5-Million USD. You can view the 2006-refitted vessel at the FLIBS, starting tomorrow at the Bimini Yard.
Trinity's "My Iris" has been given a price reduction to her asking price. The 46-meter yacht which was built in 2003 by the United States builder, is now asking 19.95-Million USD down from 22-Million USD.
News about "Blind Date II". The IYC is now offering 4 weeks of guaranteed chartering to the new owner who buys the "Blind Date II". The 2009-built yacht by Trinity is currently on the market asking 36.25-Million USD.
Completion and delivery of T54 'Red Saphire' and T60 for UAE ruling family is now 6 months behind schedule. The word from inner circles (recent project managment meeting I attended) is late payments and cancellations by other clients and resulting late payments to contractors is having a serious knock on effect for Trinity's cash flow and ability to complete works. The announcement yesterday of Dubai Worlds financial difficulties will further impact on not only vulnerable Trinity Yachts but many other long term superyacht proposals.
Well from what I see on the Trinity website, it seems that the "Red Sapphire" has been launched already. http://www.trinityyachts.com/T054/t054l.pdf
The Trinity "Vita" has been listed for sale. She is asking 19.975-Million USD. On the other hand the J-Class "Ranger" which happens to be affiliated with the Vita is for sale as well with her. Ranger is asking 20-Million USD.
Fire Sale ? Any details on the fire? How bad/good is she? Is she an insurance boat now? Better question, is 12-million USD realistic?
Her last Blog update was 30th September with no mention of a fire but did say she had a new Captain and was heading for Cape Town. When did the fire happen?
Various reports: "USGC reported on the scene 18 March 2009." "According to one first responder, the fire started and was confined to the engine room. Witnesses at the scene say the smell was acrid and noxious even from a distance and that the interior would undoubtedly have suffered extensive smoke damage. There were no serious injuries reported." "Last reported that she was hauled at Derecktor"
Actually, I learned today that she was declared a CTL and is now in possession of the insurance underwriters who are attempting to sell her through Merle Wood & Asso. Several interested parties have presented offers (no where near the 12mil asking) but none yet have stepped-up willing to take on the re-build.
Rev, That last blog was from September, but of 2008. Her website URL (yachtladymichelle.com) expired Nov 25, 2009. I was fortunate to be visiting the Trinity yard during her build and get a few photos as I toured her. Will not post any though without permission of Trinity.
The Trinity 49-meter "Lady Michelle" has been successfully sold for her asking price of 12-Million USD.
The 47.85-meter Trinity "Lady Linda" has also been successfully sold recently. The 2006 American built yacht was sold for her then asking price of 23.8-Million USD through joint brokerage IYC and Yachtzoo.
