Pipe Welders gets big bucks for these contraptions but Home Depot offers an affordable option...

Back in a previous life I had one of the Pipe Welders breakaway guys who formed Marine Metal Fabricators, build a tower for my then 30 ft. spt. bridge Sea Ray. Despite her 11 ft beam it was not the place to be in anymore then a 2 ft. sea so it cracks me up every time I see one of the many narrow CC's with one. I will say having a pair of eyes up there when dragging baits, many times put more fish in the pan then had there not been a tower.

I know a guy that bought a big custom sportfish, like 65 feet, and promptly removed the tower. They look cool but they're just not that useful off the coast of NC.

The Home Depot option may be another matter. What's the coefficient of drag on that baby?
