What does the man who has the yacht of his dreams buy next? Perhaps something to tow along behind it? http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/audio_video/photo_galleries/article1592328.ece
That such a large plastique duck came out of a French shipyard no longer surprises me - especially when you consider that the latest Queen Mary II was also built in a French yard. What do the British build at home these days, if anything, one might ask? The answer is: we hold plastic duck races annually... The thousands of plastic ducks themselves were probably made in China but we won't go into all that here or now! PS. I understand that some plastic ducks from earlier races are finally making their way back to Europe after a long sojourn in Atlantic waters (some of them were equipped with satellite beacons apparently). PPS. I wonder how many unsuspecting sharks, turtles and other sea-dwelling creatures were lethally-affected having swallowed some of these plastic ducks by accident. I thought there were clearly-defined maritime laws about the disposal of plastics at sea which most nations had already ratified...?! Except apparently when it concerns publicity stunts or pranks involving thousands of bathtub toys released in UK (or USA) waterways.
A Decoy! Set your big Duck then every one will not pay attantion to your Yacht! Or you could use it to hold your slip position while you are out sailing
