Hatteras technically launches first Hatteras 100 RPH Hatteras has technically launched the first Hatteras 100 Raised Pilot House motoryacht. The new yacht has been rolled out of the shed now being prepared for formal launching. The accommodation layout and power arrangement are slightly optional for this model. Power for this new yacht in standard model will be via twin CAT C-32 engines each with 1,900 Horse Power. A 25-knot top speed has been calculated utilizing this power package. However, there is an optional twin package of MTU 16V 2000 engines. Top speed with this option is anticipated to be 29-knots. The standard CAT package being used for the first hull, will allow for a 19-knot cruising speed and give a 680 nautical mile range. Looking at the interior, accommodation will be in four cabins to sleep eight guests. A master stateroom, two twins and a VIP-type cabin are the guest accommodation. This yacht will be finished and perhaps debut in October at the Fort Lauderdale International boat Show (FLIBS).
