Gone are the days of simple plotting.
People are talking (or texting) more. It's bad enough that when people communicate, it's usually done poorly. Included in that lingo is navigation data.
So, Lat Log, What is standard; Degrees, minutes, seconds OR Degrees, minutes, decimal minutes OR Degrees, decimal degrees.

After LOPs 4 & 6 died, I knew I was in trouble. I was trained with minutes & seconds. I always assumed Minutes & Seconds from anybody else.
Even when I worked for Sea-Tow, it was a headache. To many people involved repeating Lat-Log info before it got to me.

So, What's the standard in your part of the state, country, world?
Seconds, Decimal minutes or Decimal degrees?

I don't hear a standard around here. Seems to depend on whatever Bubba's GPS is set for. Which may in turn mean it depends on whichever option the GPS manufacturer chooses as default.

FWIW, I keep one GPS set one way, the other, the other. So to speak...
