Nordhavn has delivered another expedition yacht and this time it's a member of the N76 line. Christened "Sweet Hope 2", this N76 is the 21st hull to be handed over by Nordhavn. This model line is available in a hull length of 72 feet or 76 feet and with a "pilot house aft" or "pilot house forward" deck configuration. Sweet Hope II is what is referred to as a "pilot house forward" configuration on the 76 foot hull. Only one other N76 has been built with the pilot house forward configuration. The salon area has been designed and built as a "wide body". The owner of Sweet Hope II has moved up to his new boat from a Nordhavn 64 which was also a forward pilot house design. Additionally, Sweet Hope II features an extended boat deck which provides a lovely large cockpit area for entertaining and which is protected from the sun and weather.

The owners plan to take her cruising in Alaska and then world-wide cruising sometime afterwards. Sweet Hope 2 is powered by a single MTU series 60 marine diesel engine. Since the configuration for this particular vessel has the pilothouse set forward, there is ample room aft. Therefore, Sweet Hope 2's main tender is stored back there and served by a dedicated crane set on the centerline. Aft on the main deck is plenty of room for sitting and there is a large table for if the family wants to eat al-fresco. This area is right outside of the yacht's main saloon. The pilot house has particularly good views up front over the relatively short bow. However, if you need an even better view, there is a secondary navigation station one deck above on the flybridge with not one but three seats and great layout of of nav equipment. Despite being the 21st N76 built by Nordhavn, Sweet Hope 2 and her owners can still take pride as the second N76 to be built in the pilot house forward configuration.
