I am looking for a marine surveyor, and a diesel engine surveyor, to do a pre-purchase survey of a 50'+ FBMY in the South Carolina area. Can anybody give me any recommendations? Feel free to send a PM.

    Thank you.

Contact a broker in the area near the boat and ask him/her for their list of surveyors. Expect half a dozen or more names; any less, try some place else.

Call your marine insurance person, they should have a list of accredited surveyors.

I have a list of accredited SC surveyors from The Society Of Accredited Marine Surveyors. I was just wondering if anybody had any good first hand experience with a particular surveyor. If not, I'll wing it!

Pete did a very thorough survey on a 65' steel trawler in January.
