    Hi,

    Welcome to Yacht Forums.

I am not sure why no one has come back with an answer for you. There are a number of members here who have experience in that area.

I have not been there for a longtime but always remember the rolling anchorages and the old bridge into the lagoon where we didn't have room for fenders as our beam was nearly as much as the clearance between the sides of the bridge. There was more action in way of shopping etc on the Dutch side back then not sure how it is now.

Maybe you could ask around where you are in the VI's there might well be some guys/gals there with experience in St Maarten.

    Sorry, Just noticed this.

St. Maarten/Martin is a great place if you are waiting around for guests, lots to do. You will most defenitely stay on the dutch side. At this time of the year dockage should be quite reasonable, I would suggest Simpson Bay Yacht Club for a boat your size. This is a good central location to everything and if you do not have a car you can walk to all the nightlife and beach.
The fees for going thru the bridge can get a bit expensive, probably a couple of hudred bucks for a round trip. Immigration is straight forward, there is an immigration office right at the bridge and the paperwork is easy, the even take credit cards, this is where you will pay your bridge fees as well.
The nice thing about SXM is that all services/repair needs can be had there, and there are alot of direct flights to the states.
If you need anyother help PM me and I will be glad to help.
