Check out the spray rails on this 46 Post, and tower.

I sure would like to know how it performs.

For the record, it is not my boat and I have no interest in the boat or broker.

It is listed on YW and is in Malaysia, of all places.
Bet that is the farthest from Mays Landing of any Post.

Funny it says it is a 1985 Post and the cockpit looks like that vintage but the hull with no port holes and ER room vents look like a 88-89 and up?

It says the boat was refit, Maybe they redid the hull to look like a newer boat.

Lou, it looks like 1987 or newer vents on side and newer curved area where teak trim goes on vertical behind side windows. I never seen spray rails go that far back

Ok I was not sure what year they changed the E/R vents and put the radius in the flybridge rear visor., but I knew it was not an 1985 hull.

If you check on YF the console under the flybridge ladder is not rounded like the later versions.

How would the weight of that rib change the bow plunging in some bad swells? Could the spray rails offer a lil extra chine and slow down a plunging bow? Maybe a little?
I do like the clean hull. No leaking ports. Maybe a re-arranged interior?

Is there a different tune or set up on engines in the international market?
6CTAs go to 350 hp and max at a 430 (436 metric) hp gernade.

I know there is equipment that is not available in the states (some EPA driven), but I wonder if we could be missing out on some things.

I looked at the add on YW again, it says "1978" (not 1985)

It must be an '87 and the 78 is a typo, 1987 hull makes sense.

It must be an early 87 with the forward bunks and square tackle center under the flybridge ladder.

I would still like to know how it runs with the spray rails.

Whatever the year is, it is still a world away from South Jersey.

They are definitely add on. Post never used spray rails. The question for me is, do they really work in that head sea??

His hull sides are clean, no port lights and two slots for E R vents like the one before also.
