Hi, what is the recommendation for a hinge to use to lift the seats on a sofa? I think they should lift up and out to gain good access to the storage. Thanks

It s often difficult to use hinges as the back rest usually overhangs over the bottom making it impossible to hinge the bottom cushion. Bottom cushion and boards usually just pull out tonaccess storage

Seafarer in Fort Lauderdale sells those hinges. They work pretty well.

They remind me of the Grass hardware from Turkey. Fair but mixed metals. I'd only use in safe interior applications .

Looks like crap metal that will rust even in an air cond environment. I’d rather use SS marine hinges and SS gas lifts. More $$ which is why some
    Builders use these cheap hinges

Thanks again all, these were on a Bertram 510, I think they are original and have held up well but can't say for sure. I would prefer the Stainless and will see what they cost.

I believe they're grade 8. I've seen them on several boats I've managed over the years from quality builders and they've never rusted nor broken.
