A client sent me pictures of his boat in Juneau Harbor. Thankfully, his boat is fine. But the pictures he sent of the harbor were horrific: sunken boats, collapsed boat houses... Are our YFers and their boats OK? Anyone else hearing of "hurricane size" damage?
Fortunately my boat is stored in a heated building for the winter. And, Juneau gets a lot more snow than Ketchikan. Ketchikan gets more rain and wind than Juneau. I’m scheduled to fly up to Ketchikan late this week and will do maintenance on my boat over the weekend. Curious why those folks in Juneau wouldn’t have gone and cleared off some of that snow before letting it get to the point it did. But perhaps they are not there in the winter? My insurance requires me to have someone check on my boat every 10 days since I don’t live there.
@DM: Glad to hear all is good with you and boat. I've seen a lot of Juneau pictures and it aint pretty.
