Does anyone know where I can purchase sliding door track used in the forward head in a 1989 Carver Aft Cabin?
Sliding door tracks should be a pretty standard item found in home improvement stores. Just cut to length. If it's special (heavy guage stainless say) an upscale plumbing supply house or door manufacturer should have it.
Not quite. The tracks are a single track with a flange. The doors slide into a cylinde pocket. The pocket is cut out to accept the track and is extended into the pocket about an inch. I would imagine this is sold as a unit. Hope you can help.
Try calling Carver, a lot of manufacturers have a warehouse of new older parts that they're sitting on. If they don't have it, they should be able to at least tell you who the manufacturer was and that should be able to help you track it down. Chances are though, like NYCAP said, it's a Home Improvement store item that they cut to fit.
This one's 20 years old so I don't know how much help Carver will be but it's certainly worth an e-mail. I have all sorts of sliders around me from my back door to room doors, showers and on the Viking there is a very beafy stainless track at the salon and a circular one in the shower. Nothing real unusual about the tracks. That's why I think a pic might help. It sounds like a pocket door, but even for that the track is pretty standard.
