    The next generation from Sensation...

As one of the most innovative superyacht designers and builders in the world today, Sensation New Zealand is revolutionizing the way the industry works. In doing so, it is also rapidly redefining the expectations of the market.

Over the past decade Sensation has virtually rewritten the way superyachts are built, pushing the boundaries of thinking and technology to create new standards of quality and performance while achieving unprecedented efficiencies in time and cost.

Sensation pioneered resin-infusion technology to build the world's first composite vessel over 150', dramatically reducing the amount of time and materials needed in the process. Sensation built "Maria Cha III", the 148' composite superketch that smashed the trans Atlantic sailing record in 1998 (and won the coveted "International Super Yacht Design Award" and "Most Innovative Sailing Yacht Award" in the same year).

Subsequently, Sensation Yachts has developed a portfolio of semi-custom composite superyachts based on the same basic set of tooling. This modular approach has been conceived to encompass varying styles and sizes of models from 28m-52m (95ft-170ft).

They are marketed as the 'Volare', 'Allegro' and 'Heritage' series.

Flexibility is the essence of the portfolio. For example, wherever possible mold tools are used to produce common or similar parts on different models. The same goes for the hull. One mold can produce the smallest or largest hulls. The maximum beam with our tooling is 9.3m (30.6ft). What decides the size is how much of the tooling is laminated, i.e. how thick, high and far back it is taken. Similarly sections of bulwark, transom and so on will fit all models.

We believe that this is as close to a series built machine as one can get at this end of the market, which will make for competitive pricing and shorter build times. The intention is to swiftly increase production so that one composite motoryacht completes every six months. The first vessel of the series will be launched in first quarter 2006. Further Launch dates will occur throughout remaining quarters of 2006

    Here are the new models...
