Anyone else out there have this problem. I suspect the aft hatch covers on my 38 Santego 2000 allow rainwater to leak into the bilge. No canvas over the aft deck area. After a heavy rain, its nothing for me to suck 10 - 15 gallons out of the bilge. There's no water when there's no rain. This is my second year with this boat and experienced the problem from the start.

I've pulled all three hatch covers, inspected and cleaned the drains at both corners and caulked arround the two metal V-trays. I even inspected the drain hose to make sure they don't leak from inside. The rubber gaskets for noise and vibration don't seem to be in the way to hinder water flow.

I'm ready to climb into the engine compartment with a flashlight while my wife hoses down the deck. I'm afraid she'll leave me down there, so please, anyone with any ideas............
