    Good afternoon Colleagues,

I'm sorry if this question has already been discussed.
Can anyone advise about the use of salt for water softening onboard?
I have two packs of Special salt for water softening Pastillas P25 from Jumsal (Spain). Can I add it to the strainer installed in the main fresh water circuit, which is after additional filtration (UV, polypropylene/coal filters, etc) used for heating, showers, cooking, drinking, etc. Can it cause any harm for people, when used as drinking water?

Thank you for any recommendations in advance.

    Best regards,
    Dmitriy.

Salt is used to recharge the resin bed in an ion exchange water softener. It is not to be used in the way you describe.
