Sailboat race last Saturday, 9.25 cancelled due to the named storm. We decided it was a once in a blue moon opportunity to collect data on sails and speed in heavy air. So off we went racing the course as in the rules and documented the marks. Great fun. Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis to Solomons, just under 40 miles.
Busy doing a member mailer today and finally had a chance to watch the action. Looks like fun! The Bob Seger score helped set the tone. Is there anything you don't race?
Sailboat racing is doable surrounded by rock star crew that can handle anything inshore or off. As I approach mid 70's all the other racing has been retired. Cars, bicycles, running, enduro mc... I still enjoy and participate in all those for fun.
