Built to a design of Doug Peterson, the design was fashioned into reality to what is now the 27M all aluminum sloop type sailyacht, s/y Icarus. The Icarus has a bold metallic black/grey hull colour with white draught. A thin black pinstripe separates the two colours on the hull. A white pinstripe runs through the hull windows along the length of the hull. The deckhouse is white as well as the 35 M carbon mast. The mast is accompanied by a white boom which proudly displays the yacht's name. The boom will house an in-boom furling system for the mainsail. An automatic furling genoa accompanies the front of the mast.
