March 13, 2008: Southern Wind Yard, Cape Town, South Africa:Yet another salier in the popular Southern Wind 100 foot production series has splashed. Her name is the Acaia Four and represents the 6th vessel in series. The Acaia Four splashed on the 8th of March 2008 according to Southern Wind and ensures the successful continuation of this production model. After a bout of sea-trials to check all systems are indeed go, she will leave the Cape Town, South Africa facility to travel to Med region. From there, it is 7,500 NM of deep water cruising to the Med. This surely will give her the necessary proving to test out the systems on her first real world cruise. She is expected to arrive in the Med for the beginning of the Summer season. While Southern Wind informs that the Acaia Four is the 6th launch of the 100 foot model, there is another 100 footer so far advanced in construction that she will be launched in June. This particular one is fittingly being called the Seven.
