Today, three men are attempting to navigate around Britain in under 31 hours. While this is no luxury yacht, the boat is a very nice looking 51 footer with twin Cat C-18's. I think the attempt is interesting enough to stop by and visit their web site. They have on board gps navigation so you can follow their course and speed live. The website is www.roundbritainrecord.com. Good Luck Guys!!

    I'm watching.
Any information on what went wrong last time beyond the fact that they hit "something"?

SUCCESS!!! Old record was 30h 59m. New record 27h 10m. Congrats to the team onboard-Neil McGrigor, Tony Jenvy, Jeremy Watts and John Guille-and their intrepid crews manning the refueling stations. The first attempt was halted when they hit an unknown object, breaking the props and rudder.

Boat was powered by twin Caterpillar 2000hp C10s and Arneson ASD14 surface drives.

    www.roundbritainrecord.com has the scoop.
