If anyone has information or experience with any of the following I’d appreciate your thoughts.

Ops manuals for Rotary aircraft based on yachts.
I’m familiar with some of the ops manuals and standards for ops in the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea and West Africa, enough said. Are there actually ops manuals and standards for yacht based helicopters or is it a seat of the pants “whatever works” kind of deal. I’m not asking for a copy of anyone’s ops manuals as the ones that I have been looking at are not for public consumption either.

    Currency
What standards are used to determine currency?
Night, IFR etc? Those of the flag under which the aircraft is registered?

The ops standard that I’m most familiar with requires two pilots over water at night. The strict definition of over water is observed. That definition being that if the flight distance is greater than the distance that can be covered during autorotation to a safe site the flight is “Over Water”.

Are there any standards for the pilots of these helicopters as far as rotations, leaves etc?

Anything in the ops standards as far as sea state or just the standard land based regs?

    Hi, Codger.
Great Video! It gave me a really good laugh.
Maybe it was a good idea for me to RETIRE EARLY from the airline industry.
    Thanks,
    Arnie
