Owners of 3/4 ton diesel trucks have figured a way to change mixture rates via a pushbutton controller. On command, the equivalent of the Smoke Monster from the TV show "Lost" leaves the exhaust pipe and the hijinks ensues!

    Examples:

While this is must-have technology for Prius-driving tailgaters and the occasional protest march, I can't help but think there is a marine application.....

-Smoking out the bridge tender for the unexplained delay
    -Obnoxious marina neighbors
-Troll the sandbar party and encase the partygoers in particulates
-Wet exhaust? Won't the skier you're pulling be surprised!

    Inspired....or insane?

In our country the vehicle would be seized and plates removed with a very heavy fine levied on the owner.

Insane...He'd do that about twice in Houston, and somebody would chase him down and shoot him and his truck. Just when you think you've seen everything....an even greater level of stupidity surfaces.

That's not usually from push button controllers but modified IP's and injectors and other non stock engine changes. Black smoke is due to either too much fuel or not enough air- and if you have a larger amount of fuel injected and a larger turbo which spools up more slowly than stock then black smoke is the result. Many rednecks enjoy this - called "rollin' coal". It's a kind of redneck protest.
