I have a rainwater leak on the port salon window. It leaks into the aft cabin and engine compartment. I cleaned the track out thinking one of the weep holes was plugged.... it's never that easy. I need to remove the window assembly and reseal it. Not having done this before, I'm a little skeptical about this task. Has anyone had any experience with removing the salon windows? Is there a rubber seal around the window that will need to be replaced or can I use a silicone sealant? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rivarat...
I did a quick SEARCH for you (only went back throuh 2012 under the term "Windows", but came up with these. DK if they relate directly to your situation, but you may find someone here to PM for advice. If that doesn't get you what you need go back into the search feature. Something close is probably there. Good luck. http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/carver-yacht/20049-big-side-salon-windows-weather-stripping.html http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/carver-yacht/19827-95-355-aft-cabin-window.html http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/carver-yacht/19797-possible-1991-carver-36-aft-cabin-purchase.html http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/carver-yacht/19874-looking-parts-my-1988-carver-mariner-28-a.html http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/carver-yacht/19869-carver-456-aft-window.html http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/ocean-yacht/19302-ocean-48-ss-1999-leak.html http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/bertram-yacht/18848-28-bertram-side-window-replacement.html http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/viking-yacht/17560-1988-45-viking-leaking-windows.html
