I am a Canadian citizen, and am thinking of taking my boat down to Florida, parking it in a marina, and using it as a liveaboard condo. Does anybody know what the regulations are for doing this? I have a Hatteras 41DC, made in USA.

Welcome to YF. We love Canadians :)

I assume your boat is Canadian flagged; I also assume you mention Hatteras being a US flag supposing that NAFTA gives you a pass on paying US import duty of 1.5%. There are additional factors that need to be considered. I suggest you seek the advice of a maritime customs agent (HS Reeder is my personal recommendation). And then there are the Florida use taxes if you are in Florida more than 180 days in a year. Use the YF search for additional information. Your plan should be very do-able.
