The thread being a locked topic, didn't allow for discussion, I walk out on the limb and say 'Boy am I ever a fan of Vodka and Nor-Tech!!!' Once again Carl, and Tom- fantastic coverage! 5 stars. -PB
Yes!! I must agree..... sharing the ladies with us is the perfect example of complete journalistic coverage! I have great admiration for those who dedicated their time, showed courage and bravery, all while facing such great risk during the acquisition of these fine photojournalistic examples. Honestly though.... I'm not quite sure why my wife wasn't as captivated by the Lazzara display as I found myself. For some reason that ROR navigational mantra keeps popping into my head when I view those wonderful photos of the Lazzara ladies..... something about "red, right, return"!? Auburn University keeps coming to mind also, hmmm....
Ferretti girls were impressive in those shots. The Lazzara line-up gets my thumbs up as well. Every one was great really and I like the comments. Thanks Carl and Tom!!!!!
It's great to see that Carl worked real hard over the FLIBS weekend. Should I feel bad for Richmond's models being upstaged by the Marketing Director? Lastly... Fox Harb'r Too's starboard view, brunette second from the right... whoa.
You must know that this was a tough assignment. My goal was to bring the best in photo-journalism to the masses. I barley focused on the subjects, more concerned for the proper framing and lighting. NOT! Shoot, I had more photos that were not perfect as I didn't know where to look first. lol Wasn't really sure at first as to what kind of reception we would get, but all parties were willing (thanks to Carl's charm) and had fun with it. I think I'm ready for a gig at the Playboy mansion. And you are all welcome.
Gotta tell ya... the girl gig went much better than expected. Although I made previous arrangements with Maddie to shoot her girls at the show, the girls were there to work and they were on someone else's time. We had a small window to pull this off without interfering with builders that were still finalizing their show displays, or in one case... in the midst of a press conference. We had an accomplice in this shindig, one very personable and equally pretty YF member to help draw the girls out and make 'em feel at ease. Thankfully, all the builder's were very cooperative, the chicks were cool, and Tom took less than a minute to shoot each set of girls. Kudo's to Tom for a great job, not just with the girls, but his continuing coverage through the entire weekend. To say he was an important part of YF is an understatement. Because I was recovering over the weekend, he was there to represent YF for us. Thank you Tom!
While shooting a set of girls, we had the privilege of meeting a fellow YF member, C4ENG. It certainly is a small YF world, but the boat he's on is FAR from small!
So Carl... while shooting the lovely ladies, did you mention to any of them that they're welcome to come join the forums and check out their photos?
Actually, we did. A couple of the girls at Trinity follow YF because they work the show each year. Gotta tell you, one of them is an absolute ringer. To see her, you would think "just another pretty face". WRONG! She is John Dane's daughter and she knows as much about Trinity's builds as anyone. And she's super nice too.
I was fortunate enough to get the Trinity tour with John Dane's daughter and she was extremely knowledgable about their yachts! Not to mention she was super nice -- exuding a perfect example of southern hospitality. I don't see her in the photos though.
