Heesen launches 47-meter megayacht Project 'Margarita'​

Dutch yacht builder Heesen launched one of their 2014 megayachts known under the Project name 'Margarita'. She was hull 16847 and as the ending of the ID suggest, she is a 47-meter megayacht. Even though she is one of Heesen's 499GT 47-meter megayachts she differs slightly from her sisters in styling. If you inspect closely, you will notice the styling for the windows on the Margarita Project vary from those of her sisterships.

Project Margarita, launched in May was built in steel and aluminium with a displacement hull. On the interior, the styling is an elegant contemporary design. There are rich textures and high-end materials like silk, wool and linen fabrics that contrast against the beautiful walnut floors, oak walls and gloss lacquered ceiling. The Owner's suite is located to the fore of the main deck taking advantage of the redesigned full-length strip of windows. The other guest accommodation is situated on the lower deck where two double cabins and two twin cabins exist.

Naval Architecture has been by Hessen -in house- while both exterior styling and interior design has been the work of Omega Architects. Top speed with this displacement hull is expected to be around 15-knots with a continuous 12-knot long-range cruising speed offering a 4,000 nautical mile range. Below decks sit dual MTU 8V 4000 M63s and draw from full fuel tanks with a capacity of 60,000 LT. Project Margarita is one of four luxury yachts launched so far in 2014 by Heesen with another about 42-meters to launch later in the year.
