Yachting Developments delivers 84' "Angel"​

"Angel" is a sloop crafted by Yachting Developments in New Zealand and to a Langan Design. She was launched in December 2007 and delivered to her owners in early 2008. According to Yachting Developments Angel will be hard to date in a few years time because of her purposeful styling.

Yachting Developments says "the profile features a pronounced overhanging bow and a counter stern with retrousse transom in the style of her New England forebears. A low deck superstructure runs for approximately three quarters of the length of the deck. The styling of the superstructure is distinctly modern with stepped geometric forms defining the boundaries but the profile clearly shows her New England pedigree."

Angel at 84 feet long offers the thrill of being close to the water giving the ultimate sailing experience. Her distinctive black hull coupled with white semi-raised saloon offer an attractive appearance. Two cockpits are evident aboard Angel. "the aft cockpit being a designated sailing cockpit dominated by a single leather covered carbon fibre steering wheel at the aft end. The aft cockpit, with its own dodger, will be a well protected spot in heavy conditions."

On the interior, Angel features a contemporary modern atmosphere that subtly hints at a classic era. Varnished teak has been used extensively along with flat panels that highlight horizontal and vertical grains. The result when coupled with white upholstered furniture and subtle light blues is modern appearance.
