After a day swearing at the electronics of a modern highspeed diesel, we need something calming.

Just what the soul needs. :D

Great video. I just had a ship in my yard with the same old Deutz. Lovely old motors.

Kind of a soothing rhythmic beat it keeps.
And to think.... it's 150 year old technology. Working beautifully today!

Ah the sweet sound of real dependable engines, just like my DD 2 strokes, I give em a little hug now and then..that does not mean I'm gay does it ??.

I don't know. If you admit hugging it I'd guess you probably grope it a little every once in awhile too.:D

No doubt.,any reference to "strokes" really put the ki bosh on it. However, I am fortunate, my lovely wife fully understands my passion for the boat thing, and she enjoys the adventures we have, so I am really blessed in that department
and, that took work..as they say. the rigging costs more than the hull...no complaints..

Not necassarily, NOT that it matters! but a bit oily, yes!
Had my 53 Hatt out far yesterday, catching a few big mahi mahi, what a great "rythm", but nothing like these Deutz. Great video.
