I've been thinking of getting a USCG 500t licence to go along with my MCA licence. There are various reasons for this that I won't bore you with but I have some questions:

Do you need to be a US resident/citizen to get a USCG licence?

Is there a centre in Florida that you could suggest to train?

Is there a commercial endorsement similar to that of the MCA 200t?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Do you need to be a US resident/citizen to get a USCG licence?

From what I understand for anything more than a 6 pack the answer is yes, the USCG is not as forthcoming in allowing foreigners to hold their Quals as the MCA is these days.

You do have to be a US citizen in order to recieve a USCG lic.
However you do not have to be a US citizen in order to recieve a drivers lic.
    Go figure.
