Proud new owners of a Luhrs here! Ended up making a deal on a 02’ 40 open with the Cummins 6cta diamond series engines. Boat will be coming out of the water tomorrow for bottom paint and a good hull detailing. I’m sure I will have plenty of questions for some of you in the near future.

Hard to believe but I have owned 2 different 38's a 1996 and my 2006.
Now over 10,000 hours on the pair.
The 2006 is the only 38 made with Volvo IPS600's.
    Welcome.

Thanks Blue Runner, and thank you as well Mark. I’m out of town for a few weeks now, but she’s out of the water getting some maintenance done. Very ready to get home and head out fishing for the first overnight trip!

    Send pictures and stories.
Send a few pounds of fresh fish in a dry-ice box would be cool also (LOL).:D

Boat has been out of the water, and getting some loving! I’m pretty meticulous, so I’m doing a lot of things that probably don’t even need to be done. I will try to upload some pics for the first time of some progress. Bear with me ;)

Wet sanding and compounding/waxing going on right now. Going back with black bottom paint, repainting boot stripe to Gray I believe. And new name which is “Pack N Play” Going on tomorrow. New props going on, new cutlass bearings, and all running gear painted with prop speed or possibly something different, looking into options. We will also be removing the bow rail and glassing in and gel-coating all holes.

There you go. You got the pics loaded no problem. Nice shine. I assume bottom paint is on your list, and of course check your zincs and that the props are true. I always recommend that any boat on the hard for any time put tape over inlets and outlet so mice and squirrels do set up residence. Hungry little buggers.

Yes indeed on the bottom paint and the zincs, and thanks for the tips!
