To all you Post owners out their in the mid Atlantic. We will be working on an owners rendezvous for next year. Details after the first of the year. We're looking at late June to mid July. Location would be mid Chesapeake Bay.

Jerry, There is a long history of Post Rendezvous from the mid 1990's until about 6 years ago on Chesapeake Bay. They were held in St. Michaels, Annapolis, Kent Island, South New Jersey, Baltimore and at the Tides Inn in Virginia. They haven't been held for about 5 or 6 years. There was a good number of Posts on the Bay hence a nice basis to hold rendezvous.

I'm not sure who is organizing the 2012 event but it would be nice to see the Post Owners again, socialize and trade maintenance advice.

BTW My wife and I took our Post from the Annapolis area to Watch Hill, RI and back over a 30 day period 3 years ago and it was an outstanding boating adventure. We stayed at marinas, yacht clubs and on the hook and had a super time. Let me know if you venture to Chesapeake Bay and I'll be happy to share local knowledge.

    Really Great Post Yacht Experience!

When returning from our 1 month round trip from Chesapeake Bay to Rhode Island 3 summers ago we stayed at the Trump Marina in Atlantic City.

A fellow named John came by and introduced himself as one of 4 finishing carpenters working for Post who finished our boat!

I invited him on board and he told me about how he and his colleagues worked on the inside of the boat once the hull was finished and the engines were installed. He was indeed the real mccoy and it was one of the high points of our vacation which included spending a night on the hook in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty in NY harbor. A great boating experience and our Post ran like a Rolex for the entire month.

    Post Rendezvous

Hello and thanks for taking the initiative to work on the get together. I wish it was in the Bahamas but I would divert and come North for that.

Being from Rhode Island, would love to join a gathering of POST owners if in AC or NYC. Something within 200 miles of Point Judith.

To all of you Post owners out there. The companies assets has been purchased. Production will be moving from NJ to MD. There are some exciting things in the works. Details to follow in the next few weeks with an official announcement. There will definately be a rendezvous this summer. We are thinking late June or the weekend after the fourth of July. Stay tuned

This is truly excellent news. Post is a brand that deserves to endure. I wish the new owners all the best. As a former owner of an older 42, I can say that they are well built, well thought out boats. I would certainly own another Post. Thanks for keeping us Post-ed here on YF!

Great news, I have always loved sportfish as a young kid especially Post's. It was very upsetting when they closed shop, I will be purchasing a 43 or 46 in The near future. I wish all the best to Post and the new owners.

    I agree.

I have always admired Post Yachts.

I have fished 42s and 43s in the NE canyons alongside Berts, Hats, and Vikings.

My last boat was a Viking.

My current boat is a 46 Post......

My only regret is that I didnt more seriously consider the 50 Post.

I've actually never stepped foot on a Post but I know it's the boat for me. I respect the fact that they never really strayed from their original design, if it's not broken don't fix it. As a teenager I've run sportfish from the mid 30's to 47 and after getting away from the water for awhile I am excited about owning a legendary Post. Hopefully the rendezvous will continue for years down the road.
