Polish Luhrs Aluminum Steering Wheel or Replace It

    Both wheels on my 29 are corroded. I was debating removing and polishing them or replacing them with a stainless wheel. Has anyone tried to polish them?

    you can try - I would think they are chrome - use chrome polish. If too badly pitted, replace...

    I agree with Joe. You can try to polish them, but they're such a prominent piece you're probably better off replacing them.

    Get some aluminum foil, scrunch it up and dunk it in water. Best cleaning product ever.

    If they're aluminum, you could have someone bead blast them possibly.
