Does anyone have access to either paper copies, pdf's or cad files of the plan view and or layour/ lofting plans for this boat? I am rebuilding a 37' Aluminum Roamer 1966 vintage. The rear deck has been replaced and the new 5.7 Crusaders will be installed in the next couple of weeks. I am starting to think about gutting out the interior cabin and designing a reconfigured layout more like the forward head verision of the Roamer circa 1971. Any Help would be appreciated. Saint Paul MN
Drawings I was able to get electrical drawings for my 63 Commadore and will look into.. I thouht it was mariners somthing and a link was on the roamer web site...
Caledonia Plans Thanks for the relpy Fishe, I already contacted the Mariner's Museum in Virginia they don't have the hull plans that i am looking for on the Roamer 37'
Interiors Here's a couple line drawings (including the rare factory "B" version) and a couple "custom" variants that Roamer owners have come up with over the years.
INteriros 2 A few more from "Fast Time" - 67 CCR Riv 37. INteresting approach and results, but wonder how much "structure" was altered/removed.
Thanks to Fast Time; there's some more grist for the mill if the owner would be good enough to forward the photos and any info on the interior upgrade i'd sure appreciate the help.
And then there's "Adjournment" Click here to break your heart via "overexposure" - itz just money! http://www.geocities.com/super_roamer_38/Interior.html Some before/during shots of the latest refitment. [Remember - you asked for this] EX) Galley countertops = Avonite Metallic tusk...., goes well with Mikore and Mahogany dont ya tink?
"Adjournment" Part 3 Or wuz dat 4? Anywho - da Piece da Resistance! [Watz dat you say? Just an ordinary room divider?? - Bond. James Bond.]
WOW! Beautiful work. Looks like an ambitious project that is being executed to the highest level of workmanship and detail. I'd love to see more when she's further along.
"Adjournment" Part IV Or is that V? Whatever: note the 2-way port hole on the fwd stateroom door. (Wacha doin' bakdere? )
Wow that some undertaking. There are a lot of iseas and details in that last post that i can think about using, On my project the engines are in and i have the deck back on the helm station area. I am extending the roof all the way back (an additional 6feet) to eliminate future drainage problems and rot on the new cabin sole. The lines on this boat are troublesome though. Like King James the 1st of Scotland i think that it will take all the oak trees in Fifeshire to finish this project. Unlike him i hope its not top heavy and results in a capsize.
Bridge too far? Richard Avery's (CC Chief Designer, 1962-82) lines are indeed a critical issue. Brian struggled with that very issue when he added a flybridge to "Adjournment" (http://www.geocities.com/super_roamer_38/FlyingBridge.html) and I submit, something to seriously consider as you undertake your own modifications. Have pondered the idea of extending the hardtop myself - perhaps you might include the idea of a "piped" railing extension w/canvas stretched inbetween - mounted off of the original roof itself as an alternative (weighs less). Otherwise, I'd worry a bit about the strength of the overall superstructure. Still, it has been done before: http://www.geocities.com/alloyed2sea/Riviera_MY_38.html Interested in what you ultimately decide. Cheers! Eric
I am planning to open my Roamer Regal to the same interior as the Fast Time Good or bad? Can I have all the interior picts of the Fast Time? Orestes
All said,.. ..., and done, I'm afraid. Thatz all the photoeZ he posted. Yikes! PS - Remember, dont remove structural elements without calling the gas company first.
