Perini Navi Rolls Out 70-Meter "Sybaris"​

The highly anticipated 70-meter sailing superyacht "Sybaris" has finally seen the light of day. She is a massive vessel and falls in line as Perini Navi’s second largest superyacht at 870 GT. With design done inhouse by the yard’s team, this all-aluminium vessel is a beast with a very large sail plan optimized by Philippe Briand. The interior is by PH Design of the United States. She has a massive rig consisting of two masts, the main will stand 72-meters (236-feet) and the mizzen is around 62-meters.

The interior concept is pinned on details such as titanium which function merely for aesthetic appeal or as part of the structural design. Earthy tones are utilized but there is a very light and airy atmosphere to the design. This yacht is also fairly beamy towards the midships area and the master suite in particular benefits from this space. Her beam is nearly 44-feet and gives you an idea of the kind of room that is on offer this 70-meter superyacht.

Sybaris was built as C.2227 and will feature accommodation for twelve guests. The configuration has been laid-out in six cabins that consist a roomy master suite, two VIP-category suites and three double cabins. She is also capable of carrying as many as eleven crew to attend to guests as well as the day-to-day running of Sybaris. She will carry two guest tenders (7+ meters) and a crew/rescue tender all out of sight in the foredeck under hatches and served by their own cranes. Sybaris has an impressive flybridge area and is sure to be a hit with her owner and guests. It is designed into three zones, with the forward zone having seating and the secondary helm stations. The middle zones has dedicated seating and tables that can function as an al-fresco experience. To the aft, the flybridge has sunpadded areas and a large round table to seat the guest complement. Downstairs on the main deck has the formal dining room towards the forward end of the main saloon with a much larger rectangular table oriented beamward to seat twelve. Outside on the main aft deck is a similar round table to that on the aft flybridge. Sybaris will have a range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles at 12.5-knots and a calculated top speed of 17.5-knots.
