I see in another post someone said their 46 with 6-71 burns 25gph which seems to be the norm. I am looking for the cruising speed and wot burn with 6-92's. I just want to compare speed and consumption between the 6-71 and 6-92. Thanks Eric

I have a 44 foot post built in 1990 with 6V92's. 200 hours since rebuild. I burn 35 gallons per hour at 1900 at 23 knots. WOT for me is 2250. We also needed more air for the engines because we could see they were starved, black smoke and soot on the inside carpet at the hatch seams. We cut another air access under the outside stair to the salon and put my props without the cup(had 2 sets of 26x28, one with cup and one without). Boat now has no black smoke inside or out.
