THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Tiger Woods said he let his family down with "transgressions" he regrets "with all of my heart," and that he will deal with his personal life behind closed doors.

His statement Wednesday follows a cover story in Us Weekly magazine that reports a Los Angeles cocktail waitress claims she had a 31-month affair with the world's No. 1 golfer.

His wife "Elin" has been very understanding in the matter. Here she is seen standing by her man...

For every strength, there's a weakness. It's unfortunate to say the least.
He has done so much to keep his personal life behind closed doors, (for the most part) and to stay out of the "I'm famous / You're famous" spotlight, and concentrate on what he loves and is outstanding at, Golf.

And then 'the fling' is exposed. Which is really unfortunate that he went down that path. Let's hope he gets it cleaned up and moves on with life. Hopefully, not detrimental to his marriage.

My mum always said "if you don't have anything nice to say, you shouldn't say anything at all", so I'll just say this:

In the UK it is being reported that in THOUSAND OAKS, Calif, it is hard to 'see the Woods for the trees'. :D

Just heard that Tiger's going to feature in a new movie...they're going to call it "CaddySmack".

May be some truth to the rumor that Ping will endorse Elin's new line of golfclubs...guaranteed to be able to beat Tiger Woods.

What Elin hollered just before she busted the Escalade's windows: FORE hundred million!

Heard 'em all on talk radio, so they must be true.

Seems like the more that will be uncovered, there will be a lot less of this, in more ways than one.

Ain't fame and fortune grand. Have a minor fender bender and you get your life and family ruined. He should come away with more endorsements and more money at least. Hope that eases the pain. Think I'll stay poor and unknown. Tabloids don't give a ---- what I do.

Anyone who publicly shows their life as 'The Face Of....' had better be darned sure they are on safe ground.

The likes of Carson, Letterman, Leno, O'Brian or Ferguson will always have fun chewing on the butt of a great man caught with his pants down. How many hundreds of Politicos, Preachers, Entertainers (Letterman himself recently) or Sportsmen have been caught in the spotlight?

Nobody died, we all had a laugh, so it shall ever be. Just go down to the Pub and listen.

News that he'd rammed his caddy raised an eyebrow in our household too.
Said eyebrow was duly lowered again when we realised that the caddy in question was automotive.

    Crazy

Well at least he hit the tree and the fire hydrant but failed to make the ramp, windmill and clown's mouth.

OUCH! Amazing to watch his tournament on TV, with his name hardly spoken even once. Compared to the endless Tiger banter in prior broadcasts.
