  1. Highlights From The Start Of DIBS2025
The 31st edition of the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) kicked-off yesterday, the 19th of February and will run until the 23rd. As a major yacht show in the Middle East you can expect announcements to emerge from the show which center around new designs, regional and global premieres and general yacht industry news. So far there have been a few announcements namely Sancrea Yachts unveiling a new aluminium line of yachts, Oceanco-Vripack collaboration on the new 'Lily' concept, Gulfcraft's global debut for the Majesty 100 Terrace, Elan Yachts with their Elan E6 high performance cruiser.
  2. Sancrea Yachts revealed a new line of aluminium yachts that is flagshipped by the ALU 90 -a 27.8-meter vessel-. The model has been designed by Azerbaijan-based Abbasli Design. They are a fairly new name on the scene but we have seen their work before in relation to Project 'Stardust' at Tankoa Yachts. As for the ALU 90 of Snacrea Yachts there is no word on if this vessel has commenced construction, however, the ALU 70 has and is sold with delivery anticipated for July 2026. The exterior of the ALU 90 is a collaboration between the yard and Abbasli Design with Naval Architecture via SEFT Engineering. Propulsion is going to be via a pair of MAN diesels and the yacht will be certified RINA.
  3. Oceanco is no stranger to pumping out new designs with the 'Simply Custom' series being the last major series they have been pushing. However, in collaboration with Vripack, Oceanco unveiled a concept called 'Lily' aimed at challenging the conventional thinking of yacht design as well as the traditional client. This one is from a new series called 'Beyond Custom'. Looking at the renders, the vessel doesn't appear to be 'that large' but for context, Lily is proposed to be 101-meter LOA with a healthy 5,600 GT interior volume. The designers suggest that Lily is ready to be built and not just a whimsical concept.
  4. The relatively new Majesty 100 Terrace is on display at the show making its global debut. Gulf Craft introduced the model about 6 months ago. The working area of the bow has been turned into a semi-enclosed space where lounger pads taking the shape of the bow abide. They are complimented by skylights in the ceiling over this position, this is the ethos of Terrace.
  5. Enjoy ultimate privacy in the owner’s stateroom with a private terrace and stunning 270-degree views. With 199GT of pure luxury, it offers 20% more entertainment space and seamless indoor-outdoor living. The area is still accessible from the moving forward pass the bridge with a access via stairs on one side. Once in the fore peak 'terrace' there is the sunpad to the front and loose furniture towards the aft of the space.
  6. Elan Yachts have their Elan E6 high performance cruiser at the show. They have won a few awards for this yacht having been recognized for its exceptional design and innovation, earning nominations for the 2022 British Yachting Awards and the 2022 European Yacht of the Year, as well as winning the prestigious Red Dot: Product Design 2022 award.
