On an old Hatteras, the engine and clutch controls are Hynautic operating twin, 12V71TAs throttles and ZF clutches. Wheelhouse and fly bridge stations.

Owner had previous boats with TD & SmartCrap controls. Quick sink, one lever operation, zero effort, looked a heck of a lot better.

Is there a favorite update package out there?
    Hopefully not a bank buster.

I d with Morse electronic KE4 (or KE5... forgot). Reliable, not too expensive. I replaced a control head couple of weeks ago, failed after 14 years, it was about $500. Actuator boxes are about $800 per engine plus a $1300 ECU So figure $4000/4500 for a two station / two engine set up

No delay unlike other electronic controls and if needed you can easily add a station on the aft deck or cockpit for backing up

I don't really have much experience with the Morse. I do like adding ZF for swapping.
