Ocean 48 SS 1999 LEAK

    I have a 48 SS that leaks in the foward stateroom on the starboard side at the foot of the bed. I have re sealed the bow rail, rub rail, and the window. Anybody have any clues?? Is there any way for water to intrude from above other than the hatches. I do not think it is the hatch as the starboard hatch is in the head, and the forward hatch is to far forward and I would think I would see water on the headliner.

    Start with checking if it is sea water or rain water...

    OK, then you can try with a water hose, spraying (carefully) bit by bit with somebody checking inside.

    Unfortunately, there is no access to see where the source is unless I start doing some serious de-construction!.

    the only leak I had was in the starboard stateroom and it was from screws popped from the rubrail. I had to take down the wall board to find that was the source. Good luck!

    forward stateroom? check the anchor locker...

    I've seen many deck hatches leak and run down on the inside of the vinyl headliner and show no source of leak until where it came out of the vinyl, but remember water leaks downhill. Also check your air conditioner drain pan and make sure the drain is not blocked.......

    yes, you do have to pull off the headliner/wall boards
