Scandinavian tender builder Windy boats are best known for their express open tenders and dayboats with a range from the small W27 Solano all the way up to SR Line SR60. Many yachts do employ some of these tenders as chase boats particularly from the SR52 and SR60 models. However, this yard also makes Custom limo tenders for superyachts and this is not that widely known. Their custom luxury tenders are purpose built for yacht work and the transportation of its guests in the utmost comfort, style and luxury. For example, the 2014 Lurssen-built 66-meter superyacht "Elysian" (originally "Ester III") carried one of these custom Windy luxury limo tenders in her forward garage.

Following the success of the first custom limo tender collaboration between Espen Øino and Windy Yacht Projects Division in 2014, Windy have since then successfully launched several custom tenders, both Open and Limo versions, up to 13-meters. Below gives an overview of the interior cabin section of the custom Windy limo. There is comfortable leather-finished sofa seating for six persons on the interior and of course the style and finishes can be tailored to the owners specifications whether that is to perfectly replicate the style of the mother yacht or to have a totally different interior feel and vibe.

A bespoke interior is all about the finishes and the details. From practicality to aesthetic appeal the goal is to be exact and bring the owner's vision to life. Here we see movable armrests with embedded cup and stemware holders. Of course this is not the first time a limo tender employs these multifunction elements but it is always a nice touch to add to the space to further add to the experience while underway.

On a small vessel the right engine package is essential for weight savings as well as practicality. The dry weight of the tender comes in just shy of 5,000kg. Of course with added fuel, passengers and crew along with food and drinks and other miscellaneous items the weight increases.
