  1. Westport Yachts Introduce 125-foot RPH Motoryacht
American builder Westport Yachts has finally given new breathe to owners of 112's that wanted to step-up in size slightly. They are introducing a new model called the Westport 125 but it isn't a true tri-deck yacht. The Westport 125 allows owners accustomed to the 112 model to step up to the new model without having to go to the Westport 130, which is a tri deck yacht. The 125' is quite similar to the 130-footer in size offering that big-boat beam of nearly 8-meters and still a slim draft under 2-meters. The trick is that she is a raised-pilot house design allowing them to keep two whole decks only, the lower and main deck. The new model should allow Westport 112 owners to feel more comfortable in having an intermediary choice for the next prospective Westport motoryacht.

This new model is going to be performance oriented offering a 25-knot top-end speed and cruising in the region of 18 to 20-knots. Reasonable running speed should see her doing over 1,200 nautical miles comfortably with her 2,600 horse power MTUs. On the interior, that is being left to owners to help design in conjunction with Westport's in-house team. She is expected to be able to sleep up to eight guests or six while having a small gym and three cabins.
