  1. Westport Yachts At 2021 FLIBS
Westport Yachts is planning a healthy showing at the 2021 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The show actually starts tomorrow and is being held through to the 31st. Westport will feature a number of their models including the Classic 112 at the in-water show. The yard will surely provide updates on a number of models that they presently have under construction as well. To see Westport at the show, they are located between F Deck and Hall of Fame.
  2. As for the yachts they have in build at present, there is a W112 and a W125 both of which are sold to customers. The 112 is a legacy model of Westport Yachts with the classic 112 perhaps being one of the most recognizable vessels from their lineup. The yard did a refresh of the design a few years ago and now present the 112 with renewed styling to move the model forward and on-par with the competition in its segment. 2 X CAT C32 ACERT engines power the W112 to a top speed in the region of 26-knots. The vessel can sleep eight (8) guests in four (4) spacious cabins all with ensuite facilities. Up to 5 crew can be slept as well. At half load the W112 displaces approximately 275,000 lbs.
  3. The W125 is a bit larger than the 112 coming in at 38-meters vs the 34-meters of the W112. As a result of the extra room this vessel does carry two more passengers than the 112. The Westport 125 Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht has accommodations for up to ten (10). Those are split between Owner and their guests. 5 to 6 crew including the captain can also be lodged onboard. In terms of performance, a pair of MTU 16V2000 M96L can propel this vessel to 25-knots top end. Displacement is around 375,000 lbs. The beam is just shy of 8-meters (26.2-feet) with an overall length of 125-feet. Draft is 1.8-meters (or 6.1-feet)...Bahamas certified!
  4. Additionally the yard has a W117 in build which they say is being built on spec which suggests that it is for sale. The 117 sits right between the 34-meter 112 and the 38-meter 125. Using 2 X Caterpillar C32-ACERT rated 1900 horse power @ 2300 rpm she is slated to reach at 24-knot top speed and cruise at around 20-knots. She can sleep up to ten (10) guests and displaces upwards of 349,400 lbs at full load. The W117 stretches 7.67-meters at its widest point which offers guests a 25.2-foot beam to enjoy. The draft on this model is just about 2-meters or 6.7-feet. 5 including the Captain will run the affairs of this boat.
  5. While at the FLIBS you can visit Westport Yachts not only to find out about newbuild or even spec builds to purchase you can also find out about charter opportunities. Charter vacations are all the rage these days as individuals and families seek to escape aboard their own private floating resort and frolic in nature's playground. The Westport build has over a 50-year proven track record as the popular charter favorite for clients.
