  1. 43-meter Vripack-Designed Project 'Triple X' Starts Construction
The 43-meter Project 'Triple X' has formally commenced construction with the keel-laying taking place recently. It features design by Vripack yachts. 'X' in the project name is a nod to the yard's new Explorer category. The yard constructing the yacht is Alia and it is anticipated that the vessel will be finished by 2027. The yacht is a slightly longer version of the X40 from the yard because the American owners requested an extra large bathroom and a spacious walk-in-closet area.
  2. Another owner requirement was to be able to carry a 8-meter beachlander tender by X-Craft. It is typical of yachts this size for them to tow chase boats as they do not have the space generally to store a large tender. Rupert Connor of Luxury Yacht Group said "Many yachts under 500 GT need to tow chase boats due to insufficient tender space". The solution came from Marnix Hoekstra at Vripack who proposed an innovative carriage solution that transforms the deck into a fabulous outdoor dining space once the tender is launched.
  3. It appears there is a 5 cabin layout with the master suite being the prized accommodation. In fact, the abode is located aft of the bridge and encompasses the majority of that deck. It features the full beam master suite, a large private office and aft deck space. For the guests there are four cabins located on the lower deck along with accommodation for 10 crew members.
  4. First cutting of steel happened a few months ago with the keel laying around July 2024. "Our vision was to shift away from the aggressive lines typical of masculine designs and embrace a more casual explorer aesthetic, characterized by smooth, flowing lines and an element of flair," remarks Hoekstra. "Project Triple X features elegant curves that conclude with a distinctive edge."
