  1. 80 Black Edition Power Cat Debuts For VisionF
At the Cannes Yachting Festival Turkish company VisionF showcased their new 80 Black Edition Motor catamaran. It turned heads at the show initially because of its all matte-black color finish. The proper title for this yacht according to the builder is the VisionF 80 FirstLine. However, this particular hull is known as the 'Black Edition' for obvious reasons. Despite what some may assume, the vessel is constructed in all-aluminum. Despite being Turkish-built there are some European styling cues incorporated into the vessel. Below is a photo of one of the previous hulls for the purpose of comparison to the Black Edition.
  2. One of them is how the teak on the aft overhangs 'spill' over the edge. We see this particularly on modern Italian design. Being the third unit in the yard's FirstLine range, the series is well underway and looking to broaden its appeal. The VisionF 80 Firstline offers exceptionally vast living areas on board and the ability to approach anyplace with ease because to its relatively short length of 23.9 meters, width of 9.7 meters, and very slim 0.80 meter draft.
  3. Speaking of width, although 9.7-meters isn't overly wide by superyacht standards, remember the vessel is just under 24-meters which makes that 9.7-meters (31.8-feet) even more valuable. Taking a look inside we can see how this width is translated into high-volume within this size bracket of yacht. The Alcantara wall coverings play an important role in the elegance of the boat, with a dining table for 10–12 people located on the left side of the 54-square-meter area, leather-covered chairs, and L-shaped seating groups positioned on the right side of the salon offering the chance to enjoy the sea to the fullest with its wide windows.
  4. Onboard there is a 4 cabin layout with the master suite situated in the starboard hull taking up most of the space within. Between the master cabin and accompanying ensuite, it encompasses a bit more than half of the available space. Forward is the main access stairwell and further forward is a guest cabin and crew cabin in the bow. In the Port side hull, there is the galley towards the aft and two twin/double cabins (all ensuite) with a crew cabin in the bow.
  5. On the exterior, the vessel has the ability to carry a tender on the aft platform as well as a pwc on the bow that can be launched and retrieved by the installed davit system. The bow does not have a trampoline akin to sailing cats but rather, an extended fore-deck space and a beautifully sunken relaxation area that can be covered by a shade-awning solution. As this area is right in front of the salon superstructure, a watertight-door is placed at the front to allow easy flow from the bow to the salon and through to the aft cockpit areas.
  6. In terms of power the catamaran carries two Volvo Penta IPS 1050 engines providing a top speed of 18-knots. Economically cruising, the vessel consumes 30 liters of fuel per hour at around 12-knots. VisionF is a yard that is very young, having only been established in 2019. The yard's first yacht came towards the end of 2020 and this Black Edition of the 80 FirstLine is the 3rd hull already having been displayed at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival.
