  1. Bolide 80 By Victory Design
Last year, news emerged of a yacht that was under construction that promised a top speed of 75-knots. Victory Design's Bolide 80 is that yacht and it is progressing towards finishing this year. Construction of the super fast vessel (or as they term it 'Hyper Muscle Yacht') is made from GRP materials to keep the weight down. Extreme fast cruise on this vessel is earmarked to be 55-knots while 70 to 75-knots is the top-end at wide open throttle.
  2. Being built in GRP and carbon is just one step to help the design succeed at high speeds. The hull shape is important too especially the wetted surfaces of the boat. The GRP-carbon hull features an advanced multi-step bottom of the Super V Victory hull shape. Under the hood there is marine power by MAN connected to a patented T-Drive by Flexitab and a TS propulsion system with composite flaps. Faster than any existing open yacht, scaled to be the largest, built to be the lightest, crafted to be limited and unique and the most exclusive.
  3. The yacht is being built in collaboration with Persico Marine. The Bolide 80 is just the first in a series of yachts that the design firm plans to field. There are a reported 9 other hulls for this particular model to keep exclusivity. However, the Bolide series will range from 18 to 51-meters. The largest is said to be the Bolide 170 which its design was presented at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). Not much is known about the interior of the 80 at this stage but it is said that the vessel will be able to carry up to 12 persons. The interior will be using carbon, soft marbles and fine leathers to finish it out to a design by Stefano Faggioni.
