  1. 34-meter Pilot Revealed At Van der Valk
Van der Valk has taken the veil off a project that they have been working on. Below are images from the launch of the 34-meter custom Pilot series, a new vessel kicking-off the new series. The design is by Cor d Rover and is described as a high-volume contemporary explorer. Naval Architecture is by Ginton Naval Architects/Diana Yacht Design. The first Pilot is nearly 300 GT and "the project has its origins in a design concept from our office which was aimed at creating the maximum real estate," explains De Rover. "The client for this bespoke build, an experienced owner of multiple boats, asked to extend the length within this maximum-interior-space principle while taking the contemporary looks to an even higher level of sophistication".
  2. The vessel is a full three decks and uses that 294 GT to give 4 cabins to the owner and guests (eight persons). An owners suite, VIP stateroom and two double guest cabins exist onboard. There is also room for 3 crew cabins which sleep 6. The interior design is also by Cor d Rover. With an overall length of 34.04-meters and a beam of 7.62-meters and a draft of 2-meters the Pilot presents a compact but spacious scenario for the discerning owner.
  3. The yacht Pilot blends robust and masculine proportions with graceful curves across three decks. Her self-contained pilothouse and bridge windows reflect the strength and resilience of commercial vessels, while her air grills are inspired by the automotive industry. A key design feature of the yacht Pilot is her large windows and glass ‘eye’ on the bridge deck. Her innovative owner opted for a colour palette of castle tan and stark white partnered with her partitions and black-painted surfaces in her superstructure that look like glass.
  4. Construction of this yacht was made in all aluminum. It is an Ocean going, round bilged, fast-displacement motor yacht classed ABS + A1, Yachting Service, AMS. In terms of performance, the first vessel in the Pilot series is powered by 2 x MTU 12V 2000 M99L diesels. Top speed with half-load scenario is 21.5-knots. Fast cruising is in the region of 19-knots. Fuel storage onboard permits up to 25,000 LT. Fresh water storage is 2,600 LT. Other features to this yacht include large 7-meter fold-down hull terraces on the aft portion of the hull while the swim platform has a transformer integrated. The hull is also home to another fold-out balcony, likely for the VIP stateroom as the master is on the main deck.
