News: Update On SilverYacht's 35M 'SpaceCat'

Construction is proceeding ahead with the build of the first unit in the new 35-meter 'SpaceCat' model from Australian yard SilverYachts. The yacht is presently underway in build at their Guangdong Province yard in China where construction was not heavily affected by the Corona Virus. The schedule is still on course for completion and delivery later in 2021. Renderings are now available to give a clearer view how the yacht will look when it is completed.

As for the design, Espen Oeino is working with SilverYachts. Stand-out features on the SpaceCat include a sizable pool on the aft main deck, a large mastersuite with large patio on the bow, Top speed of 21-knots thanks to four Volvo IPS 1050s. The top aft deck will store the PWCs and tender which all have a dedicated crane installed. The rest of the sundeck is covered by a large hardtop shading a bar and seating/relaxing regions. The middle part of the swim platform is perforated which suggests it will be able to hydraulically move down into the water.

Accommodation is for a total of twelve guests staying in two twin cabins -one of which has two Pullman beds-, two doubles and the master suite. Four cabins will be for up to eight crew members with a captains cabins, a room with three beds and two twins -all with their own bathroom facilities-. As mentioned before, the design of the yacht is by Espen Oeino and is being manufactured in all-aluminum. You can look out for completion of this yacht by the middle of 2021.
